Prof. Talent Thebe Zwane is a senior lecturer at the School of Economics, University of Johannesburg (UJ), where he has been a faculty member since April 2009. With over 15 years of academic experience, he has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including introductory macro- and microeconomics, third-year monetary economics, honors macroeconomics, and master’s local economic development. His research focuses on development economics, with publications in esteemed journals listed on the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List. These include Cogent Economics and Finance (B ranking), International Journal of Development Issues (C ranking), Economia Internazionale/International Economics (C ranking), and Frontiers in Finance and Economics (C ranking), among others. His research contributions are available on Google Scholar and ResearchGate. Beyond teaching and research, Prof. Zwane has supervised both PhD and master’s degrees in economics and served as an external examiner at these levels. He has also held various roles on boards and committees within UJ. Recently, he was nominated by the Executive Dean of the College of Business and Economics and appointed by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal as a member of the UJ Senate.
