Overview

Teaching Duties: I am involved in teaching the following modules: Organic Chemistry 2 Theory (CET1BO3), Organic Chemistry 3 Theory (CETOTA3), Organic Chemistry 3 Practical (CETOPA3), Advanced Diploma: Organic Chemistry 4 Theory (CHM7XT4) and Advanced Diploma: Organic Chemistry 4 Practical (CHM7XP4). I also oversee the coordination of all modules in the Organic chemistry cluster, and I act as an external and internal moderator for general chemistry modules. Research Interests: My research interest involves finding sustainable solutions to solve problems relating to water quality. This approach involves applying the principles of nanoscience and nanotechnology to develop materials using membrane technology for drinking and wastewater treatment. I therefore, develop and evaluate novel reactive mixed matrix flat sheet or hollow fiber membranes functionalized with dendrimers, hyperbranched polymers, catalytic and photocatalytic nanoparticles and enzymes for water treatment.
