Mathilda le Roux is the coordinator of Language and Skills for Science. She has a masters’ degree in Applied Linguistics. LSS is a collaborative module, which incorporates both learning and literacies skills. This module is credit bearing and incorporates learning as well as academic literacies skills necessary for academic progress. Since being appointed in 2009, she has presented a paper on Teaching Literacies using Technology at the Joint Annual Conference: Interactions and Interfaces at Rhodes University. She is constantly experimenting with new innovations to keep the interest of the students.
