Biography: Sedzani holds a master's degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Venda, where he also completed his undergraduate studies. His thesis was titled: Geology and characterization of coal at the Mushithe Coal Occurrence, Soutpansberg Coalfield, Limpopo Province, South Africa. He is currently in his first year of PhD. Project Title: Inertinite in the Waterberg and Ermelo coalfields: origin and depositional environment Supervisors: Prof Nicola Wagner and Dr Marvin Moroeng Research interests: Coal characterisation, coal petrology, geochemistry, mineralogy, palynology and climate change
