Dr Thabang Mofokeng

Overview

Dr Thabang Excellent Mofokeng is a senior lecturer at the Department of Marketing in the School of Consumer Intelligence and Information Systems (Sciis) within the College of Business and Economics at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. His research interests include e-commerce, retail marketing, retail technology and consumer behaviour. He is a member of the Sciis ethical committee. He received the Best Emerging Researcher award from Sciis in 2022 and the Best Emerging Researcher award from the College of Business and Economics in 2024. He publishes in Scopus and data science journals. He contributes chapters to textbooks in the field of marketing. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules. He graduated with a PhD in Marketing Management in 2016 from North-West University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in 2017 from the University of Johannesburg.
