Ms Collette Wessels Education: Head of Learning and Development at Smollan Honours Degree (Industrial Psychology) GIBS Business School (Executive Development) Colette Wessels is currently the People Development Executive for the Smollan Group. Colette oversees the Learning and Leadership Development portfolio for the global Smollan business. Colette offers more than 20 years’ experience within the discipline of Human Resource Management of which the last six (6) years have been at an Executive level. Colette joined Smollan in February 2020 in her current role. Prior to Smollan, Colette held various portfolios at Imperial Logistics (over a period of 13 years) including that of Human Resources Director and Training and Development Executive. Colette has successfully managed multiple teams and has been exceptionally successful in establishing collaborative relationships with Business Stakeholders, to execute strategies and embed processes. Colette has an in-depth knowledge and vast experience of the South African - Skills Development Landscape and has served as member of various industry governing structures. She holds an Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology and has completed various Professional and Leadership Development programmes.
