Ms Cynthia Mabaso is a lecturer in the Hospitality Department at the School of Tourism and Hospitality (STH), College of Business and Economics, University of Johannesburg. Ms Mabaso has recently completed and now holds a Master's Degree in Tourism & Hospitality from the University of Johannesburg, she also holds a BTech and Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting from Durban University of Technology, where she started her lecturing career in 2002 lecturing Financial Management, Ms Mabaso began her career at the University of Johannesburg in 2004 as a lecturer in Financial Accounting I and Hospitality Law I & II. Ms Mabaso has a passion in teaching and learning and has been nominated frequently for teaching awards. Furthermore, her passion also lies in changing the lives of others, she has held up a high reputation around community engagement and is responsible for two NGO's fundraising projects, namely: Reach out Touch and Tshepang Project.
