Prof Lerato Aghimien

Qualifications PhD Construction Management (UJ), MTech Construction Management (UJ), BTech Quantity Surveying (UJ), NDip Building (UJ) Biography Dr Lerato Aghimien is the Head of Department for Construction Management & Quantity Surveying. She is also the deputy director for the Sustainable Human Settlement and Construction Research Centre, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Prior to joining academia, she worked as a Quantity Surveyor both locally and internationally. Dr Aghimien holds a PhD in Construction Management, an MTech with distinction in Construction Management, BTech in Quantity Surveying and NDip Building from the University of Johannesburg, Johannesburg, South Africa. She was awarded the Academic Doctorate Advancement Project Towards Transformation (ADAPTT) Scholarship for doctorate studies. Based on the award she was a visiting scholar at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA. Since joining the institution, she has substantially contributed to research activities within the University of Johannesburg by publishing several peer-reviewed journal articles, and conference proceedings in reputable national and international research outlets.
