Qualifications: MEng Civil Engineering (UJ), BEng Civil Engineering (UJ) Professional Membership: Professional Engineer (ECSA) Area of Specialisation: Structural Engineering Research Interests: Structural engineering and they include composite structures, cold-formed steel, hot-rolled steel, concrete and other materials. Biography: Prior to joining UJ, Yoosuf worked as a Structural Engineer on a range of large Civil Engineering projects in the areas of Ports, Terminals, Railways, Bridges, Buildings, Residential and Workshops structures. During his tenure at Transnet, he served as a member of the Transnet Group Gate Review Panel for MDS Projects. He is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa where he also serves as a Reviewer, Assessor and Moderator for assessing the competence of new engineering applications. He is a mentor to young engineering candidates and also supervises final-year and master's students. He is currently lecturing Concrete design and Civil Professional Practice.
