Qualification(s) MTech Research Interests Advanced material science Biography I am a highly motivated individual, a mechanical engineering student with good communications skills, leadership and co-ordination skills. I have experience in wide range of engineering areas, I have exposure in the mining environment (Open casting). In my short time in Kumba, Iron Ore (mining), I worked in various departments, Diagnostics management, Plant maintenance, and Primary Mining equipment. I have experience in the academic environment (7 years), Teaching and Learning, where I served as a Temporary Lecturer in the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Technology for the five years at the University of Johannesburg. I am currently completing my postgraduate studies at PhD level. My field of interest is in “Polymer matrix Composites”, (the use natural fibre as reinforcements or load bearing members) in a bid to create a hybrid material capable of reducing our dependency on steel and foreign imports of high quality fibre, at University of Johannesburg
