Qualification(s): Ph.D. in Nuclear Astrophysics (In progress) , University of Johannesburg Short Bio: Ayabulela Tsewu presently lectures Mechanics to engineering students at the Department of Physics, while doing the current study above stated. She has a Master of Science degree in nuclear radiation from the University of the Witwatersrand. The study aimed to investigate radiation exposure through ingestion of contaminated water and to evaluate the quality of water concerning its radioactivity concentration. Also possess a Post Graduate Certificate in Education , from Rhodes University that is further acknowledged by the South African Council for Educators to teach Mathematics (SP) and Physical Sciences (FET) in high school. Before joining academia, Ayabulela worked as an Intern at the National Metrology Institute of South Africa . My main responsibilities were to assist with the development of film dosimetry, and mainly in calibration of the instruments. Area of expertise: Creation of elements through nuclear and astrophysical processes in the universe and evolution of galaxies during their lifetime. Research interest : Nuclear Abundance, Nuclear radiation monitoring, and Science and Technology Education Research
