Prof Shahana Rasool

Overview

Prof Shahana Rasool is the HOD of the Department of Social Work and Community Development. Shahana is passionate about making a difference in society and challenging social injustice. Her work has focused on alleviating gender-based violence and understanding gender inequality. In the field of education, she has been concerned with transforming social work education from a decolonial and feminist lens. Professional Associations: Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a social worker, registration number 10-17740.
