Miss Zandile Zamela

Overview

Zandile Zamela is a lecturer in the Fashion Department, in the Faculty of Arts Design and Architecture. She teaches theory and practical subjects in Fashion Design and Fashion Production. She has a Bachelor of Consumer Science in Clothing Management from the University of Pretoria (2016). She furthered her studies at the University of Pretoria and obtained her Masters in Consumer Sciences (Clothing Management) with a distinction and is a member of the Golden Key Club. Part of her master’s dissertation was presented at the Commonwealth Fashion Education Symposium (2024). Ms Zamela is a young academic with an interest in the social psychology of clothing and social sustainability in fashion, especially in relation to cultural representation. She has taught various components in Fashion Design with a focus on Clothing Technology and Textiles.
